From November 24, 2025, the DVSA introduced key driving test changes in Great Britain, focusing on real-world safety by increasing time on faster/rural roads, reducing routine stops from four to three, making emergency stops less frequent (1 in 7 tests), and allowing the independent driving section to use more of the test time, often following a satnav, to better prepare new drivers for diverse conditions and reduce young driver accidents.
